A
dried unripe berry of an of Pimenta oddicinalis, Lindl of the
evergreen tree in the myrtle family. They are small dark reddish
brown balls. It has a strong pungent clove-cinnamon like flavor.
Shelf life up to one year.
USES:
Jamaican jerk seasoning, soups, stews and curries It is
also used in cakes, cookies, and pies.
