Nutmeg
is from the dried seed of Myristica fragrans Houtt, deprived of testa,
an evergreen tree. It is Grayish brown to brown in color with a warm,
slightly bitter taste.
Shelf life up to one year.
USES:Sausages,
meats, soups, eggnog, puddings and pies. It is also used in stews
and puddings.
